.Η τραγουδοποιός Hellena κυκλοφόρησε μια εμπνευσμένη σύνθεση με τίτλο "Τα μάρμαρα του Παρθενώνα - Φέρτε τα πίσω" και την παρουσίασε ζωντανά στην Πινακοθήκη του Παρθενώνα του Βρετανικού Μουσείου την Πέμπτη 20 Ιουνίου.
"Τραγουδώ, Υμνώ, Απελευθερώνω" ένα τραγούδι για να διαμαρτυρηθώ για τα μάρμαρα του Παρθενώνα να επιστρέψουν εκεί που ανήκουν και να ενταχθούν στα υπόλοιπα που ζουν ακόμα στο νόμιμο σπίτι τους στην Ελλάδα. Έχοντας ένα από τα σημαντικότερα έργα τέχνης στον κόσμο κομμένα στα δύο , είναι μια πράξη ενάντια στον πολιτισμό, είναι ιερό και μετρά τη μεγαλύτερη ασέβεια στα έθνη και την τέχνη. @britishmuseum μουσείο πρέπει να κάνετε το σωστό και να δώσετε πίσω τα μάρμαρα του Παρθενώνα. The British ambassador Lord Elgin and his men crudely stripped out half of the marbles from the Parthenon as well as a column and a Caryatid from the Erectheum. Artefacts were also taken from the Propylaia and the Temple of Athena Nike whilst Greece was under the Ottoman rule of the day.
Lord Elgin inflicted great damage to the Parthenon by sawing through the frieze slabs and removing the cornice in order to detach the metopes, in addition to breaking the entablature on which they rested.
The British Museum currently has a five year sponsorship deal with BP. During February 2019 hundreds of people occupied the British Museum in protest against its relationship with longstanding sponsor BP and to highlight that the multinational lobbied the UK government to help it gain access to Iraq’s oil reserves prior to the war in the country.
In 2018/19, the museum placed a BP logo on an Assyria exhibition featuring looted items from modern-day Iraq, sparking outrage by Iraqi campaigners who were horrified to see part of their history being used to promote a company complicit in the brutal 2003 invasion.

The Act forbids the museum from disposing of its holdings, with the exception of a few special circumstances. The museum has argued that the British Museum Act of 1963 legally prevents any object from leaving its collection once entered in. Nevertheless, it has returned items such as the Tasmanian Ashes following a 20-year long battle with Australia, along with Iraqi artefacts of 5.000 years in age.
Countries around the world including Greece are also requesting for the return of their historical artefacts.
